Our Mission

Welcome to the website of the Database and Information Management Committee, part of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Technical Council on Computing and Information Technology.

The mission of the Database and Information Management Committee is to increase the appropriate use of databases and information management technologies in civil engineering teaching and practice. Included in the committee scope are the representation, management, storage, retrieval and analysis of civil engineering information, product and process modeling, data/object repositories and interoperability standards, and information infrastructure issues.
